Open an account at Captain Cooks Casino in four steps

Register on the Captain Cooks Casino site with your name, email address and date of birth. You must be of legal age: 19 in most provinces, 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
Verify when asked

Smooth verification is a document check that comes before a cashout, so keep a valid photo ID and a recent proof of address to hand.
Make the first deposit

Deposits start at $5. Choose a payment rail that works with your bank, and check the terms of the welcome offer first (1st deposit: 100 Chances for just $5).
Play on your terms

Before the first spin, set a deposit, loss and session limit in the account. In each game, read the return printed in the rules panel.

Captain Cooks Casino has operated under the Casino Rewards Group since 2000, standing out as a five-deposit welcome up to $500 with a $5 first-step entry and staged match bonuses.

It runs the Highest Win Rate Guarantee™ — highest available RTP versions — 96%+ on slots, up to 99.9% on video poker — with eCOGRA-audited games and TLS-secured cashier flows.

Banking is built for Canadian rails — Interac, cards and common e-wallets after smooth identity verification — with fast withdrawals once checks clear.

If you already have VIP status at another casino (online or land-based), ask support about VIP status match after you register — eligibility and terms apply.

Welcome offer

Up to $500 value; 100 Chances for $5.

1st deposit: 100 Chances for just $5
2nd deposit: 100% match up to $100
3rd deposit: 50% match up to $150
4th deposit: 25% match up to $125
5th deposit: 100% match up to $100

Terms and conditions apply; minimum deposit $5. The welcome package adds time to the opening sessions and starts Status Points on real-money wagers. It does not rewrite a 3:2 blackjack felt, and it does not move a slot onto a lower RTP build. Play responsibly.

Questions before you take a live seat

Answers here cover these licensed casinos, including the 96% slot floor, not every provincial monopoly.

Provincial rules, what the felt should say, how the RTP build is chosen, and how cashouts and account limits work once you are playing.

Is live dealer play at an online casino legal in Canada?

It depends on the province you are in. Ontario runs its own registered market, and players who want an operator from that market should check the official provincial list before they deposit. British Columbia and Quebec also offer crown platforms such as PlayNow and Espacejeux. The brands reviewed on this site are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. You must also have reached legal gambling age where you live: 19 in most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

What return should I expect from slots, video poker and live tables?

Slots run at 96%+ under the Highest Win Rate Guarantee™. Video poker reaches up to 99.9% on a full-pay schedule. Live blackjack is judged on the felt: it pays 3:2, not 6:5, while side bets follow a separate paytable you should read before you add them. Return to player is a long-run property. One session does not confirm it.

How do I avoid starting at the bottom of the six tiers?

Ask for a VIP Status Match if you already hold a tier elsewhere, online or in a land-based room, and send proof after you register. That is the fastest start on the Casino Rewards ladder. Later play still earns Status Points across the six tiers. A match does not copy a self-exclusion or your limits from another account; set those here.

Does the welcome offer change the live table?

No. The welcome package is the one printed on this page, with the minimum deposit beside it, and wagering terms apply if you opt in. Status Points begin on real wagers. The offer leaves the 3:2 blackjack payout as printed on the felt, and it leaves each slot on its highest RTP build.

Do the live tables work on a phone?

Yes. They open in a modern mobile browser on iOS or Android: same felt, same 3:2 blackjack payout, same betting window as the desktop lobby. An app is optional if you want a home-screen icon. The build does not drop on a smaller screen. Slots stay at 96%+, and video poker still reaches up to 99.9% on a full-pay schedule.
